Scheduled Foraging Courses

Hedgerow Harvest offer a range of foraging courses for those that want to learn about gathering and eating wild food. On our courses we emphasise sustainable harvesting, safety and legal aspects. Our foraging walks locate a range of seasonal wild food and discuss their identification, preparation and uses. All course participants receive extensive handouts and get access to on-line materials. Our current range of courses are listed below.

Gift vouchers for our scheduled foraging courses make the ideal present for a birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, Mother's Day or other special occasion.

Spring Greens

See Spring Greens course gallery
Spring is the time of new growth and the countryside offers a wealth of delicious free greens – be they salad leaves, wild vegetables or herbs. There are also some edible flowers, roots and a few fungi to be found. With a little know-how these can all be gathered to give salads, soups, sauces, desserts and many other dishes. They can also be ingredients in teas, beer and other alcoholic drinks.
